Our holiday cottage interior design project showcases a tailored approach to short term rental design across Scotland’s Central Belt and surrounding areas. Designed with both guest experience and long-term durability in mind, this project demonstrates how thoughtful interiors can elevate a holiday property while supporting commercial performance.
From the outset, the focus was clear. The space needed to feel welcoming, memorable and distinctly Scottish, yet refined and cohesive. Therefore, we carefully developed a balanced design scheme that combined comfort, functionality and subtle luxury. Through layered lighting, durable finishes and carefully selected furnishings, the interiors were designed to photograph beautifully while remaining practical for frequent guest turnover.
Importantly, short term rental interior design requires a different level of strategic thinking. Not only must the property appeal online, but it must also deliver comfort and functionality in person. For this reason, we prioritised texture, layered styling and cohesive detailing to enhance the overall guest experience.
As a Scottish interior designer working across West Lothian and the wider Central Belt, we specialise in creating holiday cottages and Airbnb properties that feel elevated yet inviting. If you are planning a short term rental renovation or looking to improve your property’s appeal, this project highlights how considered interior design can enhance both atmosphere and occupancy potential.
